Ingredients:

500gm mutton

2 onions,chopped

2 tomatoes,chopped

3 tsp ginger-garlic paste

6 green chilies

50gm chana dal(bengal gram)

50gm tuvar dal(split gram)

50g moong dal(green gram)

1 bunch of spinach

1 medium bunch methi leaves (fenugreek)

100gm eggplants

100gm potatoes

50gm beans

100gm carrots

Dhansak masala:

3 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 nutmeg powder

2 tsp garam masala

1/2 cup oil

Salt to taste

For Garnishing:

3 tbsps deep fried onion slices(browned)

2 tbsps green coriander leaves,chopped

few quartered lemon pieces

Method:

Pressure cook the dals, vegetables with half mutton,for few minutes.

Blend with spinach green chilies and salt to a fine paste .

Boil the remaining half of the mutton and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan,fry fenugreek leaves and add onions, ginger-garlic paste,

dhansak masala,fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add chopped tomatoes, mutton pieces, dal-vegetable-mutton paste and cook for another15 minutes.

Serve with rice or rotis.
