1/2 kg bhindi

1 onion,sliced

2 green chillies,slit and cut into half

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1/2 tbsp til(sesame seeds)roasted and powdered

1 tbsp khopra,powdered

2 tbsps tamarind water

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp dhania(coriander seeds)powder

Salt to taste

2 tbsp oil


Wash and dry the bhindis. Cut off the tips and stalks. Slit and cut each into 1 1/2 inch pieces.

Mix til powder,khopra powder,dhania powder,turmeric powder,chilli powder,tamarind water and salt.ground to paste.

Heat oil in a karahi ,add onion fry till pink and taransperent,add ginger-garlic fry well.

Add bhindi and fry well,then add the masala paste,mix well.

Add one cup water,stir and cook till done.

Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve with hot with parathas or rice.
