Ingredients:

1 cup Matar(green peas)

2 cups wheat flour

2 green chilies, chopped

1 tsp aniseed, roasted and powdered
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp sugar

Salt to taste

A pinch of baking powder
1 tbsp oil

Oil for frying

Method:

Add a little water and butter to the flour and knead to make a soft dough.

Coarsely grind peas, ginger and chilies.

Heat oil in a pan,add the peas mixture, add aniseed powder,salt and sugar and fry till it becomes dry and leaves the sides of the pan.Remove and keep aside.

Make small balls of the dough,fill with peas mixture .Roll into small puris.

Deep fry in oil on both sides until golden brown.

Serve with any chutney or pickle.
