1 cup Urad (whole black gram)
1/4 cup rajma (red kidney beans)
1 tsp. red chilli powder
1 tbsp. refined oil
1/2 tbsp. finely chopped ginger
6 flakes of garlic
1 finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp. garam masala
1 tsp. dhania powder
4 tbsp fresh cream
1 tbsp. desi ghee
1 tsp. cumin seeds
pinch of asfetoida powder
salt to taste
Soak dal and rajma overnight.
Put oil, ginger, salt in dal and boil the dal for 30 minutes.
Put desi ghee in a pan heat it and add cumin seeds till they start sputtering,
then add asfetoida powder, garlic and fry till brown.
Now add onions and fry them until brown.
Add garam masala, red chilli powder in the pan and switch off heat.
Add to the cooked dal .
Finally add cream to the dal and mix it in dal slowly.
Garnish it with coriander in the end and serve hot.
