Mutton Dalcha


1 tsp whole garam masala
200 gms bengal gram daal
150 gms meat,small pieces
1 onion,finely chopped
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tomatoes,chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 green chillies
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
A few curry leaves
Tamarind-size of a lime,extract juice
salt to taste
oil for frying


Cook daal and meat separately.grind daal to paste,without
adding water.
Heat oil and fry onion till brown.Add ginger-garlic paste,chilli
powder,turmeric powder,curry leaves,green chillies,tomatoes
and fry for a few minutes.
Add meat and fry well untill done.Add garam masala powder
ground daal,salt and mix well.Add tamarind juice and allow to simmer on a slow fire for a few minutes.
