Ingredients:
1 cup fresh coconut pieces 1 tbsp roasted peanuts 3/4 cup chana dal,roasted and soaked
in water for 4 hours 1/2 bunch of coriander leaves 1 tbsp juice of fresh lemon 3-4 green chillies salt
to taste
for seasoning:
1 tsp.oil 1/4 tsp. mustard seeds 1/4 tsp. cumin seeds 4-5 curry leaves 1 pinch
asafoetida 2 dry red chillies
Method:
Grind all the ingredients (except those for seasoning) together.
Grind till smooth. Heat oil and add the seasoning ingredients. Pour hot oil over the chutney. Mix gently. Serve
with idlli,dosa or upma.
