1/2 kg Kheema(minced lamb)

2 onions, finely chopped

4 tsp garlic, minced

2 tbsp ginger, finely chopped

2 green chilies, chopped

1/4 tsp turmeric

2 tsp red chilli powder or to taste

Salt to taste

1 tsp garam masala

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp coriander, chopped

2 tbsp vegetable oil


Heat the oil in a pan and add the onions,fry till brown.

Add the garlic, ginger, chilies and cook for 2 minutes longer.

Add the kheema and cook until the meat starts to get brown.

Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,salt and mix well.

Add half cup hot water, cover and cook over low heat for about 25 minutes,

stirring often to prevent browning and sticking,till all the liquid is absorbed.

Add garam masala, lemon juice, mix well and remove from heat.

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or boiled rice.
