5-6 bunches Palak (spinach)
1 cup chana dal (bengal gram)
10 green chilies,finely chopped
2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
3 to 4 tbsp corn flour
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Salt to taste
Oil for frying


Boil spinach leaves in water for 5 minutes. Drain water and keep aside.

Squeeze all the water from the spinach leaves and grind to a smooth paste.

Boil chana dal until tender, drain water and grind to a smooth paste.

In a bowl mix chana dal paste, spinach paste, garam masala, chopped green chilies,corn flour, salt, coriander leaves and make a dough.

Make small balls from the dough, roll the balls in the bread crumbs and press a little to give a shape of patties.

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the patties to golden brown.

Serve hot with tomato sauce or chutney.
