Ingredients:
500 gm tomatoes,chopped
1 cup toor daal,wash and soak in water for 1 hour
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 onion,finely chopped
4 green chillies,slit
For tempering:
1 tbsp ghee
3/4 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp jeera(cumin seeds)
8 flakes garlic,crushed
4 dry red chillies
2 strings curry leaves
Method:
Cook daal in pressure cooker with tomateos,onions,green chillies
turmeric powder,red chilli powder.
to prepare tempering,heat ghee ,add mustard and cumin seeds,
stir on medium heat until they begin to pop,add garlic and fry.
Add red chillies and curry leaves,fry.When done ,pour over the
daal.Garnish with coriander leaves.
