Chicken Croquettes


1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tbsps butter

1 cup milk

3/4 tsp salt

A pinch of pepper

1 tsp minced onion

1 tsp minced parsley

2 cups ground chicken

1/2 tsp lemon juice

1 egg

1 tbsp water

Salt and pepper to taste

Fine dry bread crumbs

oil for deep frying


Melt butter,add flour,salt,and pepper and mix well.

Gradually add milk and cook until thick,stirring constantly.

Combine onion,parsley,ground chicken,lemon juice,salt

and pepper to taste, with white sauce.allow to cool.

Shape like sausage,roll in crumbs,dip into slightly beaten

egg mixed with water,then roll again in crumbs.

Deep fry in oil till golden.
