Ingredients:
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp butter or margarine
1/4 cup broken cashew nuts or toasted pecans
Vanilla ice cream
Method:
In 1-quart saucepan,stir together brown sugar and corstarch.Add water.
Cook and stir over medium-high heat till thickened and bubbly,about 5 minutes.
Stir in butter till melted;add nuts.
Serve warm over vanilla ice cream.
Makes about 1 cup sauce.
